Legal Secretary Responsibilities: Process documents from dictation, forms, or otherwise. Prepare Pleadings, Orders, and Settlement Agreements. Responding to telephone calls, e-mailing, faxes and letters. Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents. Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal disputes. Organize records & arrange appointments. Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Making Courthouse and Post Office Runs. Record and store client information. File & handle other administrative tasks.
Qualifications: High school or equivalent preferred. Previous experience as a legal assistant or legal secretary. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook. Experience preparing legal pleadings, orders, and settlement agreements. Experience setting hearings. Ability to prioritize and multitask. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Deadline and detail-oriented. A strong work ethic, exceptional problem-solving skills and is comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic workplace.
