Paralegal/Administrative The candidate will manage the attorney's calendar, and coordinate/schedule consultations, appointments, mediations, hearings, etc. Correspond and communicate with clients, other law offices, and the courts. Maintain client files and documents, calendar deadlines, work with discovery answers/production, communicate with third parties, obtain necessary backup financial documentation, prepare Excel asset spreadsheet. Draft correspondence, forms, and other documents as directed. Draft/revise an initial draft of various documents, prepare packets necessary for hearings, assist and anticipate necessary documents for hearings, assist attorney in hearing preparation, and organize all documents for filing. Perform administrative duties, including ordering supplies, maintaining accurate administrative records for office expenses, etc. The candidate should have a Paralegal Certificate or equivalent work experience. Bachelor's Degree is a plus. Must have 3+ years of relevant legal experience for necessary litigation knowledge. Prior attorney employer references are required. Should have strong technical skills to include: the ability to electronically organize and manipulate documents, effectively manage deadlines and calendars. Strong knowledge and experience are necessary with Word, Excel, Outlook, Clio. Extensive MS Excel experience essential. Must be detail-oriented and extremely organized; have the ability to professionally and effectively communicate both orally and in writing; ability to work independently with appropriate discretion to complete projects/assignments as directed.
