Attorney at Law The candidate must have a BA or BS from an accredited University and a J.D. degree from Law School as well as a license with the State Bar of Michigan. Civil litigation experience is required. Civil Rights, election law, and Federal Court experience are needed. Should have knowledge of Auto No-Fault Law; the Michigan Court Rules; Discovery practices, interrogatories, request for production, request to admit and depositions; Michigan Negligence law; civil case workup, file management; witness investigation and interviews; complaint drafting, service, and filing; Case evaluation; and motion practice, draft response to MSD and other motions. Strong knowledge of discovery, interrogatories, and depositions, both taking and defending is essential. Must be willing to work in a team-oriented environment with a strong commitment to being on time and ready to work each day.
