Associate Immigration Attorney The candidate will research unique legal issues by identifying applicable statutes and judicial decisions. Draft legal memoranda, motions, and briefs, and prepare other filings. Attend master calendar hearings, bond hearings, and individual/merits hearings. Willingness to attend removal hearings is a must, as this position will require a significant amount of court work. Attend client interviews for residence and naturalization with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. Attend asylum interviews with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. Manage various projects and deadlines. Explain legal language to clients. Keep abreast of legislative changes that may affect immigration. Should have JD degree; active Bar license (good standing in FL preferred); have excellent writing skills. Fluent in Spanish preferred. Prior experience in the area of U.S. Immigration and Nationality Law was very helpful. Should have 1-year Writing skills. Should have 1 year of Spanish language and Bar license.
