Litigation Paralegal/Legal Assistant Responsibilities: Assist trial Attorney in the filing of complaints through trial. Ensure all discoveries regarding the defendant are received. Investigate, gather, organize, and analyze information about the client's cases. Read, interpret, organize, and summarize medical records, earnings, and defense documents. Organize and manage documents and deadlines, including the creation of spreadsheets and retrieval/organizational systems. Summarize deposition and trial transcripts and exhibits. Draft various motions, oppositions, replies, pleadings, correspondences and other documents. Prepare complaints, discovery requests, discovery motions, and discovery memorandums. Schedule and attend depositions, hearings, and mediations. E Filing, Prepare discovery requests and managing discovery responses. Interact with clients, experts, insurance adjusters, and medical providers. Assist with the preparation, filing, and service of pleadings. Act as a liaison among all parties including court or other professionals for scheduling and sharing information. Assist with trial preparation including the assembly of exhibits, witness binders, and appendices for depositions and court filings Qualifications: Should have 3 years in a litigation paralegal role. Working knowledge legal database software. TrialWorks is a plus. Investigative mind and strong research skills. Strong organizational and administration skills. Excellent typing and grammar skills. Excellent communication and time management skills. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and be organized, skillful, knowledgeable, patient, courteous, diplomatic, and ultimately be able to deal with situations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. General knowledge of personal injury law and the ability to manage multiple priorities at once by being highly organized, proactive, responsive, thorough, specific, efficient, and communicative. Ability to draft and prepare legal documents. Ability and knowledge of filing requirements.
