Personal Injury and Consumer Law Attorney The candidate should have experience in foreclosure defense and bankruptcy, or in personal injury, at our Bradenton, Florida office. Insurance defense experience in auto and premise liability cases would be helpful. Candidates with jury trial experience will be highly considered. Qualified candidates must possess all the following credentials: Be admitted to practice law in the State of Florida. A willingness to support multiple attorneys in pushing cases to a conclusion in both bankruptcy/ civil consumer defense and personal injury cases. Responsibilities include: Meeting with clients and obtaining necessary information to process forms and to complete discovery. Assisting 3 personal injury attorneys in preparing for hearings, depositions and trials. Reviewing and revising demand packages for insurance companies. Negotiating settlements. Drafting pleadings, motions, and memoranda of law (with help of automated document system). Covering/ Attending depositions, mediations, and hearings. Must be computer literate with proficiency in Lexis Nexis, MS Word, Adobe and Excel. Should have ability to interact with attorneys, paralegals, and other office staff in a professional manner. Should have 1+ year of PQE.
