Staff Attorney The candidate will perform legal diligence for Capital Markets and Finance group matters, which will largely consist of documentary diligence. Will work on closing matters including collection and organization of relevant documents for closing of transactional matters. Work with the lawyers and staff on diligence matters, financing matters and closing matters as well as other important projects critical to the client service. With appropriate supervision, draft and manage ancillary documents (i.e., security agreements, pledge agreements, etc). Learn new substantive legal topics and factual subject matters as needed based on the nature of a matter. Competently and professionally communicate with firm lawyers and staff, clients and third parties, orally and in writing. Follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently. Work effectively with minimal supervision. Work effectively under pressure and to meet deadlines. Understand and apply lawyer ethics rules. Work effectively with others as part of a team. Should have a Bachelor s and Juris Doctorate degrees. Active NY Bar Membership is required. Must have 1+ year of experience working on transactional matters and has an interest in Capital Markets or Project Finance. Language capabilities in Spanish or Portuguese are a plus.
