Assistant Managing Attorney The candidate manages daily aspects of the Case Managers, Paralegals, and Reviewers to ensure cases are pushed forward properly including identifying, communicating, and proposing solutions to issues. Provides leadership, coaching, counseling, and guidance to Case Managers, Paralegals, and Reviewers including assisting the Practice Area Manager with facilitating performance appraisals, conducting check-ins, and managing/addressing performance concerns. Assists with providing initial and refresher training to the H-2B team throughout the year. Monitors departmental performance, identifying and facilitating opportunities to increase productivity and efficiency. Collaborates with the Practice Area Manager to assist with the following: Initial seasonality review; Review of iCert docs/complicated support letters; Review of complicated email responses; USCIS petition review; and In-country doc review. Managing the in-country document process for large clients. Prevailing Wage Determination (PWD) review. Conducts client calls (non-legal and check-in s) to ensure goals and needs are being met. Reviews and provides constructive feedback for roundtable edits. Performs final job order cross reviews. Monitors the automation dashboard to ensure all tasks in the queue are being completed. Performs other duties as assigned. Contributes to maintaining positive office morale. Acts as an ambassador for the mission, values, and standards of behavior of the firm. Juris Doctorate Degree is needed. Should have 2-3 years of supervisory or management experience. Should have the ability to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Should demonstrates professional conduct and presence, exercising tact, diplomacy and discretion in sensitive matters. Should have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Should have the ability to demonstrate support for and to help others successfully manage organizational change. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail is needed. Excellent oral and written communication skills are needed. Superb time management skills with the ability to assign and delegate tasks. Should be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of the mission, values, and leadership of the organization is preferred. H-2B and/or PERM experience is required.
