Litigation Attorney The candidate will investigate claims and monitor legal risk, advising clients accordingly. Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations within the public and private sectors. Draft motions and pleadings. Engage in legal research and brief writing. Take and defend depositions. Prepare and respond to written discovery. Must have civil litigation experience, including motion practice, managing discovery, and representing clients in court, during mediations, and settlement discussions. Should have a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Must be an active member in good standing of the Bar of the State of Ohio. Must have 3+ years of practicing civil litigation in state and federal courts. Have an analytical thinker with strong attention to detail. Must have the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Excellent research, verbal, and written communication, and interpersonal skills, including public speaking skills are required. Have a high level of integrity. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is essential. Must have the ability to litigate a case from inception through settlement/trial.
