DWI/DUI Defense Attorney RESPONSIBILITIES: Making a top-notch first impression with potential new clients (PNCs). Conducting phone appointments and interacting with clients in the office. Gathering information to determine a prospective client s needs and appropriately quoting them for representation. Communicating with various courts in the area. Approving legal contracts (in collaboration with the Intake department). Operating client management software. Writing briefs and conducting legal research. Appearing in court for hearings and trials. Managing your own docket and schedule appropriately. Qualifications: Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited institution. Licensed to practice law by the State Bar of Texas, and in good standing. Should have 2+ years of legal experience. Native speaker or proficiency in Spanish is a bonus. Prior experience in the criminal defense industry is a bonus. Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills. Display excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency knowledge of MS Office and strong computer literacy. Demonstrate creative problem-solving skills. Ability to operate in an office environment.
