Part-time Legal Assistant Paralegal The candidate will love working with people. Manage the attorney's calendar and email. Draft documents using Wealth Counsel or Lawgic. Use Bar approved forms to prepare probate and guardianship pleadings. Take initiative and be laser-focused on detail. Little mistakes matter here and must be committed to detail and growth. Use listening skills and empathy as to help clients through some of the most difficult life stages of aging and incapacity. Will have great opportunities to learn, grow and receive coaching and development discussions to be the best not only today but in the future. Firm has a strict "no jerks" policy and make sure that clients give the same respect that we give them. Will draft probate and guardianship pleadings and correspondence. E-file documents. Calendar and manage deadlines; maintain attorney's calendar and schedule client appointments and hearings. Interact with clients, fiduciaries, and opposing counsel. Draft and revise estate planning documents. Gather and organize documents for estate planning and probate matters. Organizes files and estate planning binders (we are mostly paperless but some things require paper). Perform various administrative tasks such as scanning and printing. Basic file and case management. The candidate should have good tech skills, i.e., cloud-based software, experience with Windows O/S. Must have knowledge of Clio, GSuite, Dropbox, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Microsoft Office (or WordPerfect), Florida e-filing system, and WealthCounsel. Must be detail-oriented. Attention to detail is required. Must work efficiently. Work is not time-sensitive, some of it is and we need some flexibility to achieve deadlines. Should learn, grow and be the best versions of themselves, not only personally, but professionally. Should be committed to the growth process and aren't afraid to dig in when things become challenging.
