Part Time Paralegal Duties: Provide legal administrative support using a working knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documents to draft pleadings, discoveries, motions and correspondence. Provide efficient administrative support. Assist attorneys in handling cases from inception to the resolution of the matter. Draft pleadings, discovery demands and responses, motions, various correspondence to clients and adversaries, etc. Assist in trial preparation and various discovery. Mail, fax, Efile, or arrange for delivery of legal correspondence to clients, witnesses, and court officials. Make photocopies of correspondence, documents, and other printed matter. Assist attorneys in collecting information such as employment, medical, and other records. Prepare and distribute invoices to bill clients or pay account expenses. Receive and place telephone calls. Schedule and make appointments. Draft and type office memos.
QUALIFICATIONS: Associates degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred. 2+ years legal experience preferably in Defense or Personal Injury Litigation. Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word. Ability to communicate by writing clearly and concisely. Ability to actively attend to, convey, and understand the comments and questions of others. Requires analyzing information and using logic to address work-related issues and problems. Requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks. Possessing the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task. Ability to manage one own time and utilize available work time to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Ability to adapt to change in the workplace. Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work-related problems. Requires being reliable, responsible, dependable, and fulfilling obligations. Ability to be held accountable or answerable for one conduct. Schedule: 5pm-10pm
