Paralegal Opportunity at a Trust & Estates Firm Responsibilities: Responsible for client workflow process. Document drafting, editing, proof-reading, finalizing court filings. Uploading court filings to NYSCEF. Correspondence with clients and business colleagues. Administration of trusts and estates at various lifecycle stages. Interfacing with outside accountants to assist with tax preparation and filing. Scanning and filing of electronic and paper-based documents in cloud storage. Supporting attorneys with calendar management and meeting arrangements. Participating in client document execution and ceremonies. Maintaining a proactive role in implementing firm-wide best practices.
Qualifications: Experience as a legal secretary or assistant or paralegal. Bachelor's degree. Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and projects at hand. Able to organize and manage large amounts of files, tasks, schedules, and confidential information. Proficiency with MS Office 365, especially Outlook, Word and Excel. We will train on our cloud-based time-tracking & billing software (Freshbooks). Driven, self-directed and able to work without supervision to meet deadlines. Familiarity with NYSCEF, Zoom, and Simplifile preferred. Resourceful problem-solver with a strong attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; numerate and literate.
