Discovery Attorney Duties: Work as part of growing product-liability discovery team. Responding to discovery requests (which requires gathering, organizing, and indexing large volumes of paper and electronic materials). Responding to deposition notices (which includes proper objections, scope analysis and definition). Responding to motions. Assisting with preparation of company witnesses for depositions. Frequent communication with witnesses and clients. Frequent analysis of technical issues. Analyzing engineering documents and various other file materials, and preparing these materials for electronic production. Qualifications: 1-3 years in a discovery-related position is preferred, though equivalent experience will be considered. Prior experience with engineering or other technical documents is preferred. Excellent communication skills are also required, due to extensive communications with client representatives and outside counsel. After initial on-boarding, the successful candidate may be able to work remotely on occasion. Experience with iPro, Relativity, or another document-review system is a plus. Requires a person who is hard-working, self-starting, detail-oriented, responsible, and capable of working with our discovery attorneys and paralegals in responding to discovery for a large caseload with voluminous document productions. Will be someone who takes pride in always producing top-quality work, but also likes to have fun with coworkers in a collegial environment. Must be able to take lead on projects and complete tasks with little supervision, and possess excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
