Legal Secretary/Assistant Duties: Assist with answering phones. Maintain attorney's calendar, including docketing and scheduling. Enter attorney's time into billing software pursuant to client billing guidelines. Submit and reconcile expense reports. Maintain client files from inception to closing. Maintain contact lists. Prepare/draft correspondence, pleadings, motions and discovery. E-File and service of documents in both state and federal courts. Order records, track receipt and production of records. Assist in preparation for depositions, hearings, mediations, etc.
Qualifications: Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel. Ability to work in a high-volume environment with minimal supervision. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position. Subject to comprehensive background check.
