Estate Planning Paralegal The candidate will be the point person/primary contact for all Estate Plan files. Will correspondence (in person, in writing, and via telephone) with clients, attorneys, and other parties. Drafting of estate plan documents, deeds, and other documents as necessary under the supervision of an attorney. Detailed proofreading of prepared documents prior to presenting to the client. Accurate timekeeping, maintaining updated spreadsheets of current matters, status, and deadlines. Ongoing training and skill development. Assisting with other legal matters and duties as assigned.
The candidate should have proven work experience in a legal office. Strong preference for completing a paralegal certification or having advanced paralegal education. Prior experience in estate planning or elder law is preferred. Current NC Notary Public commission is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is needed.
