Associate Attorney The candidate will be responsible for handling cases in which the firm represents property owners in First-Party Property Damage disputes. Duties will include drafting and arguing motions, drafting pleadings and discovery documents, taking and defending depositions, attending mediations, preparing for trial, meeting with clients, providing monthly status updates to our clients and participating in firm-sponsored marketing events. Should have experience in litigating first-party property and bad faith claims. Engage in direct communications via telephone and e-mail with opposing counsel and clients. Should be an active member of the Florida Bar. Some experience in drafting and arguing dispositive and discovery motions is required. Must have excellent research and writing abilities. Should have experience with Westlaw or LexisNexis and Microsoft Office products. Some deposition and mediation experience is required.
