Legal Secretary The candidate will provide support to assigned attorney(s) and paralegal(s). Will format documents into final form, proofread, copy, scan, mail, etc. Process incoming and outgoing mail. File/e-file documents with courts and/or agencies. Opening/closing files, consistent with department and firm practice. Scheduling conference calls, meetings and travel. Manage data and prepare presentations as needed. Office duties including copying, scanning, faxing, time entry, call edit, filing, etc. Update Abstractor Absenteeism Calendar. Add funds to Landex and ImageSync accounts for abstractors. Pay invoices for several county clerks and hotels. Perform other duties as assigned. Denote essential functions of the position. High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Must have 1 year clerical experience is required. Should have strong reading, writing and arithmetic skills. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written are required. Should be proficient in computer skills (working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint). 1-2 years experience working in a law firm with heavy volume is preferred.
