Paralegal - 1st Party Insurance Defense Duties: Assist insurance defense attorneys in the course of their work, which often involves investigation and/or defending insurance companies against certain claims. Prepares routine or complex legal documents for review by attorneys. Reviews, organizes and summarizes reports and other case materials. Drafts pleadings, subpoenas, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, interrogatories/answers, notices of examination under oath, and other legal documents. Assists in deposition preparation, pre-trial investigations, trial preparation, including assistance with preparation of witnesses for deposition and/or trial. Prepares depositions and trial binders. Prepare exhibits and other demonstrative evidence for use at trial. Drafts settlement agreements. Provide assistance at trial. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) and 5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Paralegal certification. ATO knowledge a plus.
