Attorney - First Party Property Insurance Defense The candidate will conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions. Preparation of Court filings, Court appearances and taking of depositions required. Attend court hearings on behalf of clients and argue motions. Strategize, prepare for, and attend trial proceedings, mediation, and arbitration. Draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, notices, and discovery requests and responses. Provide guidance and advice to associate attorneys and paralegals to resolve or prevent conflicts. Maintain knowledge of local, state, and federal statutes and applicable laws. Bachelor s degree with a law degree from an accredited law school (such as an LL.M., JSD, or J.D. degree) is required. Should have 2+ years of experience in first party defense handling property and homeowner claim matters. Trial experience is a plus. Must be an active member in good standing with the Florida Bar.
