Litigation Paralegal/Legal Assistant Duties: Handling litigation, including initial drafting of pleadings, drafting discovery requests and responses, communication with clients regarding discovery, categorizing and organizing all vital case documents, assisting in trial preparation, preparing trial exhibits, and managing trial documents; Scheduling and calendaring; Conducting research, including legal, real estate and business research; Document filing, including real estate and litigation filings; Drafting and proofing litigation documents, and business documents, including contracts. Should have Bachelor s degree and paralegal certificate having 6+ years experience as paralegal (preferably in private law firm practice or in the construction industry), with additional experience as a legal assistant a plus. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and document management software. Strong organizational, logic, and analytical skills. Experience in maintaining large well-organized files. Trustworthy with highly sensitive and confidential information. Note: 37.5 hour work week most weeks from 9 to 5:30.
