Personal Injury Attorney The candidate's duties include: Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff; Collaborate with clients and senior associates and other staff to move cases toward resolution efficiently; Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients; Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior associate attorneys; Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings; Manage day-to-day handling of pre-litigation files; Communicate with insurance adjusters regarding settlement negotiations; Guide clients through the personal injury process while both educating and advocating for them; Work effectively as a team with a case manager, paralegals, and legal assistants to provide excellent customer service to injured clients; Work in tandem with other attorneys in the office to develop case strategies; Trial strategy and case development with senior attorneys. Should have 3-month trial period to determine whether the firm and the associate are a good fit. Solid communication skills and problem-solving skills required in order to work with clients, staff members and senior attorneys required. Active member of the American Bar Association (ABA) required. Must have successfully passed the state bar exam. Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school required. 3+ years of personal injury experience (pay is commensurate with experience) required. Pre-Litigation experience preferred.
