Part-Time Personal Injury and Medical Malpractice Attorney The candidate will work two to three days a week. Must have experience in personal injury (including auto and slip and fall accidents), and medical malpractice. Ideal candidates would preferably be familiar with workers compensation law and family law. Must have excellent legal research and writing skills, strong oral communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, be able to complete a case from beginning to end, and possess a strong work ethic. Will be conducting legal researches. Drafting various litigation documents, including pleadings, discovery demands and responses, subpoenas, deposition notices and motions. Reviewing documents for production in litigation. Preparing and conducting depositions, and preparing and attending court hearings and trials. Preparing final versions of documents: formatting Microsoft Word documents, creating tables of contents and tables of authorities, proofreading, and checking citations. 3+ year litigation experience in personal injury (including auto and slip and fall accidents) and medical malpractice required. Strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment, including juggling multiple projects and demands, meeting deadlines, and ensuring accuracy and quality of all work product required. Strong work ethic with ability to produce high-quality work in a consistent and reliable manner required. Juris Doctorate and must be admitted to the New York Bar. New Jersey and/or Connecticut admission is a plus.
