Attorney, Court Appearances, Consumer Debt Defense, Part-time Duties: Reviews and advises clients on their financial condition under the applicable federal and state laws. Review and advise individual clients on the most advantageous methods to protect client's existing financial assets whether this requires a bankruptcy filing, selecting the most favorable negotiated settlement strategy for the client and the firm and/or pursuing the representation of the client through litigation of a particular matter for the client if representation through legal discovery is most favorable to the client's existing financial and legal position based on a short-term or long-term analysis based on the attorney's professional judgment. Consult colleagues to confer on strategy to ensure financial and legal factors are factored into the advice being offered to clients. Qualifications: Law Degree/JD Degree. Licensed to Practice Law in the State of South Carolina. Professional experience preferred including substantive and practical experience advising private clients. Also preferred professional experience and familiarity with private client representations including financially distressed clients and/or clients interested in protecting existing financial assets for a wide array of private consumer clients.
