Associate Attorney The candidate must have 1 year of experience in civil litigation, preferably from an insurance and business defense background; 2) understands civil procedure at least conceptually from pleadings to trial; 3) is familiar with the basics of propounding and responding to discovery in civil cases; and 4) is licensed to practice law in the State of Georgia (additional states/jurisdictions are a plus). J.D. and bachelor's degrees from an accredited institution(s) required. Further education will be considered but is not necessary. At least one year of experience primarily in civil litigation, preferably in insurance defense; additional pertinent experience is a plus. Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Georgia (other jurisdictions are always a plus). Must be able to, after reasonable training, self-start and thrive in a busy environment managing a case load while supporting the firm's goals. Must be computer literate. Must be proficient with MS Word and MS Excel; must be at least familiar with the basic functionality of other MS Office programs including PowerPoint.
