Immigration Attorney The candidate must have 1+ year of immigration related experience. Will be expected to make court appearances at the New York City Immigration Courts. Should be admitted to the NYS Bar, and have experience in any, or all, of the following: removal defense, cancellation of removal; asylum, family-based immigration, consular processing and provisional waivers. A candidate with excellent credentials and prior paralegal experience in the immigration field, was involved in an immigration clinic, or can demonstrate a commitment to helping the immigrant community will also be considered. Should have a J.D. degree from a US law school and be admitted in New York State. Bilingual English/Spanish skills strongly preferred. Must have strong writing skills and experience preparing motions and briefs, preferably for Immigration Court or the Board of Immigration Appeals.
