Associate Attorney Candidate will be responsible for representing Clients at all stages of the Disability Process, including Administrative Hearings before Social Security Administrative Law Judges. Will be responsible for implementing case strategy, developing medical evidence with the assistance of a highly capable team of non-attorney case managers, prepare the clients for hearings, write on-the-record requests, and present cases at various OHO offices in front on administrative law judges. Will also be responsible to pursue cases with the Appeals Council and federal court, when appropriate. Candidate will have 1+ year of experience handling SSDI claims, have a strong knowledge of the 5-step sequential evaluation, and be comfortable with medical records and terminology. Strong writing and advocacy skills, compassion, and the ability to effectively cross examine vocational/medical experts in a non-adversarial setting are vital.Must be able to handle a large case load efficiently. Must be self-starters, possess strong analytical, negotiation, organizational, interpersonal and communications skills. Must have a strong sense of urgency about problem solving, meeting challenging deadlines and achieving critical goals. Must be organized and able to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
