Civil Litigation Paralegal The candidate should be organized, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast paced, high-volume office environment and must be capable of making independent decisions. Must be able to transcribe and understand legal terms. Provide attorney support with transcription, filing pleadings, affidavits, notices and motions. Assist with preparing discovery requests and responses. Calendar Court deadlines and maintain attorney calendars. Update client/calendar systems (ROCKET MATTER) with status updates and meetings, as required. Organize hard copy client files. Communicate with opposing parties, Judge's clerks, and clients. Ability to speak, read and write in the English language; Ability to write simple correspondence; and effectively present information/updates to clients required. Ability to work under pressure and ability to make decisions according to established guidelines; work unsupervised and to accomplish tasks accurately and on a timely basis; prioritize work; strong organization skills required. Computer literacy in word processing is required. Must be able to use Microsoft Word.
