Paralegal - Personal Injury Law Responsibilities: Answering the phone and responding in a professional manner. Opening new client files, both paper and electronic. Gathering information from clients. Assisting with the preparation, filing and service of pleadings. Engaging in continued educational opportunities by reading and attending webinars related to your position. Coordinating the collection, review and production of documents and responding to discovery requests. Assisting with depositions. Mediations and trial preparation including the assembly of exhibits, witness binders and appendices for depositions and court filings.
Qualifications: Associate Degree or 2-3 years of significant and substantive litigation experience as a paralegal/legal assistant in a law firm setting. Paralegal certificate from an ABA accredited program preferred or a combination of education and experience. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically the use of Power Point. Working Knowledge and competency with case management software. Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software. Excellent Organizational Skills. Attention to Detail is a must. Legal Research and investigation skills. Ability to follow directions and procedures. Strong written and oral communication skills. A self-starter and Ability to prioritize workload and assignments. Proficient in the use of Zoom & Other Remote Meeting Software.
