Paralegal-Employment Duties: Conduct research to support legal proceedings. Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents. Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal disputes. Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Record and store client information. Assists attorneys in in all stages of litigation cases from onset through trial. Familiar with federal and state procedures for format and e-filing maintains attorney's calendar with deadlines and communicates effectively with opposing counsel and staff to schedule depositions, mediations and hearings. Assists with other department activities as needed, and performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications: Ability to communicate professionally and interact effectively with all levels of personnel, including management staff and support staff. Ability to work efficiently and effectively. Demonstrated attention to detail, reliability, outstanding organizational skills. Excellent client service skills and ability to work on multiple matters simultaneously in an organized manner and under minimal supervision. Flexibility and ability to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands. Position also requires the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines. Superior organizational skills, e.g. managing trackers. Excellent written and oral communication skills. You must have experience preparing records, assembling exhibits, pleadings, summarizing transcripts, discovery, and trial preparation preferred. Experience drafting and responding to standard discovery demands (interrogatories, requests to produce documents, etc.).Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office Suite and document management systems.Proficient with Florida E-Fling portals and procedures. Proficient with Federal filing portals and procedures. EEOC Experience preferred. Previous experience as a paralegal or other legal field. Familiarity with legal research. Ability to prioritize and multitask. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Deadline and detail-oriented.
