Family Law Paralegal The candidate will primarily be responsible for assisting attorneys in preparing for various court actions in all aspects of Family Law. Prepares and draft motions, pleadings, judgments, statements, documents, and other correspondence (e.g., debt and asset lists, witness affidavits, child support worksheets, responsive pleadings, etc.). Performs legal research. Maintains attorney calendars and case files. Schedules appointments, court appearances, and mediation/deposition hearings. Liaison between the client and attorney, conducting client interviews. Tracks dates and deadlines for responses to petitions/counter petitions and discovery request. Prepares trial notebooks and providing assistance in trial settings. Prepares and reviews discovery packages, including disclosure statements, answers to interrogatories, and production requests. Maintains effective communication with clients. Performs other duties as assigned.
The candidate should have an Associate's Degree. Minimum 1 (+) years of experience. Spanish is a must. Excellent writing skills. Excellent communication skills. Analytical skills. Strong code ethics. Spanish and English required.
