Personal Injury Associate Attorney The candidate will be arranging suitable agreements and settle on the clients behalf when appropriate. Maintaining updated status documentation of all case files in the case management system. Evaluating potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients accordingly. Conversing with clients, expert witnesses, supporting witnesses, insurance company adjusters, and medical providers to gather information. Appearing as legal counsel on the clients behalf at mediations, trials, hearings, depositions, and litigation. Providing legal support and guidance to clients. Finding ethical solutions to legal matters. Negotiating settlements with insurance carriers. Covering PIP recorded statements and PIP Examinations Under Oath. Otherwise handling case management from inception to completion. Staying informed about any current legislation and case law. Building trustworthy relationships with clients. Drafting pleadings, written discovery, and motions. Arguing motions and covering depositions. Marketing firm services in the community and as otherwise required. Bachelor's degree and a J.D. degree is required. Should have 1+ years of experience as an attorney handling personal injury cases or, alternatively, 2+ years of experience as a prosecutor or public defender. Good understanding of personal injury law/ tort law, medical terminology, wrongful death, civil and family law, and medical malpractice is desired. Should be licensed attorney in good standing with Florida Bar, with no disciplinary or malpractice history.
