Entry Level Legal Assistant / Paralegal The candidate will join firm that focus is set on representing individuals who have sustained personal injuries as a result of automobile and/or work accidents. Answers multi-line telephone system. Opens, organizes and files office mail. Conducts telephone and in-person intake. Opens and maintains electronic and paper case files. Corresponds with insurance companies, medical facilities, courts, and other attorneys. Maintains attorney agenda and works with an office diary system. Assists attorney and other legal assistants/paralegals with ongoing litigation support including case investigation, researching public records, filing legal documents, drafting documents, etc. Keeps track of client medical treatment and coordinates with attorney and paralegals to ensure case progress. Aids in obtaining medical records and billing information. Must have proficiency in Spanish and who is able to effectively communicate with clients. Should have combination of associate degree, Paralegal Certificate or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school. Must be able to read, write and speak Spanish Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Prior law firm experience is a bonus.
