Associate Attorney The candidate will manage responsibilities include all areas of case management: discovery, motions, hearings, trials. Will handle status conferences, temporary hearings, uncontested final hearings and trials in family law cases. Associate Attorney will handle pre-litigation, written discovery, meditations and depositions in litigation matters.Must already be a member of the State Bar of Georgia and Northern District of Georgia. Should have 2-3 years of family law or litigation experience. Must have litigation experience and is afraid of going to trial tomorrow. Must be proficient in performing legal research and writing. Should be proficient in drafting pleadings, briefs, affidavits, discovery, proposed orders, as well as correspondence, memorandum, and opinion letters. Must be well-versed in the rules of evidence, introducing evidence, and civil procedure. Experience with taking and defending depositions is a plus. Must possess strong written and verbal communication skill is needed. Proficiency with Word, Excel and other Microsoft Office product is advantageous. Proficiency with West Law Next is essential.
