Divorce Attorney The candidate will keep client files properly organized and up to date. Communicate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move through the civil litigation process. Manage the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings when needed. Help solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action. Attend court proceedings as needed to represent clients. Represent clients in court. Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients. Advise clients on all aspects of divorce and related matters. Meet new prospective clients and inform them of the benefits of our firm. Negotiate settlements. Comply with all legal standards and regulations. Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law. Must have a proven record of success in advocating for plaintiffs and defendants. Have 1-2 years of experience in working with family law and real estate. Have a 4-year degree with a legal background and a JD degree are necessary for this position. Should be great negotiators and communicators, specifically in situations when emotions and stress are high. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential. Must have the ability to build rapport with clients. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed.
