Family Law Attorney The candidate will represent their defendant in the Family Law Court System. This encompasses arraignments, pretrial hearings, settlement conferences, trials and sentence hearings. Manages high level/high asset cases by maintaining contact with people involved in the case; preparing for depositions; reviewing standard court documents. Case assessment and strategic planning while communicating with clients and documenting all time dedicated to case. Performed legal research, drafted legal documents, and prepared court filings education on recent court cases, laws, local rules and regulations. Represent clients in family law court and/or civil matters. Represent clients in complex mediation of contested divorces to successfully negotiate settlement. Review and assessed all assets and liabilities of client to develop worksheet for use in settlement and/or trial. Review expenses and income of client and opposing client for use in settlement and/or trial. Is involved with trial proceedings working with support staff in organizing. Must be a current Florida Bar Member in good standing.
