Job Summary is looking for a full-time Associate Attorney to join their team. This position offers a competitive salary, health/dental/vision insurance, and generous paid time off. The ideal candidate will possess a Juris Doctorate from an accredited Law School, have a license to practice law in the State of Michigan, and have a minimum of one year of experience in a law firm or legal practice. Qualifications Juris Doctor Degree from an accredited law school License to practice law in Michigan Minimum of one year of experience in a law firm or legal practice Proficient with technology such as Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook) and Zoom Ideally familiar with Clio Grow and Clio Manage Responsibilities Analyzing conflicts in legal matters and advising clients on solutions and strategies Conducting legal research using statutes, case law, and other legal texts as sources to decide on and implement a plan of action Preparing and drafting legal documents including but not limited to pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, memoranda, notices, subpoenas, estate plans, etc. Assisting with the discovery process by coordinating with administrative staff in serving all discovery documents, administering depositions, drafting interrogatories, and reviewing documents Assisting in the review of legal documents for accuracy and completeness Presenting facts effectively and accurately to clients, opposing counsel, and the courts Representing clients at meetings, hearings, mediations, and trials Informing Managing Member about developments in each case and presenting concise strategies for resolving legal disputes Maintaining and tracking daily billable and nonbillable hours accurately Effectively managing caseload, calendar, and schedule and meeting or exceeding the Firm's billable hour requirements Maintaining client confidentiality with each matter Ability to network and drive to bring in new business to the law firm Skills Strong legal knowledge Outstanding legal research and writing skills Strong organizational and project management skills Ability to work independently and collaborate with others Strong client service orientation Ability to prioritize cases and meet deadlines without being micromanaged Exceptional critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making abilities Capacity to perform effectively and efficiently under stress Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to comfortably work in under pressure, meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical skills and attention to detail # Associate Attorney Job Description is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to assist with managing a diverse portfolio of cases.
