Paralegal Position at Law Firm The Law Firm is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our team. The Paralegal will be responsible for assisting the attorney and staff with client relations, maintaining case files, case management, legal research, and communicating with attorneys, clients, and court personnel. Responsibilities: * Speak with and vet potential new clients * Daily communication with clients to answer questions, assist in completing required documents/forms and adhere to case deadlines * Manage the daily/weekly/monthly firm docket and arrange new meetings and appointments * Confirm hearing dates, court's receipt of filings, and court dates * Transmit legal filings to courts and opposing counsel by E-filing, certified mail, and regular mail * Prepare and disseminate well-written, professional correspondence, memos, emails, and other communications often times from dictation * Proactively work to ensure case filings are being addressed by courts through proactive phone calls, emails, and letters * Work with attorney to draft various required legal documents * Legal research Qualifications: * Excellent client relations skills * Outstanding organizational and time management skills * Ability to prioritize daily workload and multitask * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Discretion and confidentiality required * Associates Degree Paralegal Studies, bachelor's degree with Paralegal Certificate or experience to equal the same * Proficiency in MS Office * Knowledge of Smokeball case management a plus, but not a requirement * Required 1-3 years office experience and Family Law experience Compensation: The Law Firm offers a competitive salary starting at $55,000 - $60,000, depending on the applicant's experience. Benefits include a 401(k), paid vacation, and potential bonus. Additional compensation opportunities depending on company and personnel performance through an annual incentive plan.
