Part-Time Estate Planning and Probate Freelance Attorney The candidate will be handling all aspects of probate and guardianship cases from inception to completion. Handling all aspects of estate planning from consultation to execution. Meeting with clients remotely or in person. Attending court hearings remotely or in person. Representing the firm in a professional and collegial manner. Handling client consultations as needed. Drafting pleadings, estate plan documents, deeds, contracts, and other documents necessary during the pendency of a matter. Communicating with clients, opposing parties, attorneys, and court staff in a timely and professional manner. Should have a Doctorate, 3+ years of Estate planning, and Probate and Guardianship experience. Texas Bar License in Good Standing is required. Spanish is preferred. Experience in simple and complex probate and guardianship matters, including interstate and high-value estates. Experience with simple and complex estate planning, including trusts, elder care, and Medicaid planning. Must have proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Proven ability to handle complex matters, with multiple initiatives going on simultaneously. Must be detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and has strong communication skills. Must be a self-starter and loves the freedom to work independently and remotely, but has the self-discipline to stay focused on the greater goals of the law firm. Possesses strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop lasting business relationships. Consistently drives for excellence and pushes their limits. Must have an exceptional work ethic and drive. Experience with Mac OS X, Westlaw Form Builder, and Clio.
