Estate Planning Paralegal The candidate must have a comprehensive understanding and ability to draft Advanced Directives, Basic Estate Plans, complex Revocable and Irrevocable Trusts and deed preparation. Must be able to work efficiently, independently and with minimal oversight. Extensive communication with clients, financial planners and accountants, Prepare all aspects of Trust and Estate Planning to be reviewed by attorney, Collaborate with clients and attorney to determine and implement best plan (asset evaluation and tax planning), Draft all estate planning documents within a mandatory 7-10 day deadline, Preparation and recording of deeds (ACRIS), Trust funding, Preparation of Fiduciary Accountings, Ability to work independently with minimal oversight, Strong working knowledge of Advanced Directives, Last Will & Testaments, Revocable & Irrevocable Trusts, Medicaid Asset Protection Trusts, Familiar with Elder Law, EPT Consolidated Laws of New York and ability to conduct legal research, Proficiency in Elder Counsel and Wealth Counsel drafting software programs, Proficient in ACRIS to prepare tax forms and transmit deed recordings, 2 years of experience in Trust & Estate Planning is preferred, Bachelors Degree -or- ABA-approved Paralegal Studies Certificate's preferred.
