Criminal Paralegal RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible to work in all aspects of Criminal Defense prelitigation and litigation, from case inception through appeal. Handle Criminal Defense case load from start to finish. Assist attorney with Criminal defense litigation. Manage pre-litigated and litigation Criminal Defense cases. Draft correspondence, pleadings, discovery responses, and motions. Assist attorney at trial. Handle all aspects of litigation procedures. Interviewing clients about their cases. Schedule and prepare clients for recorded statements. Write complaints, motions, orders, answers, schedules, pleadings, subpoenas. Helping Attorney prepare for cases and organizing key evidence for trial. Answering the phone, making phone calls, keeping track of paperwork and entering data into the computer.
Requirements: Associate Degree. 1+ years experience. Federal paralegal experience. Ability to work independently. Proficient Microsoft Word. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines. Bilingual fluency in Spanish is a plus. Analytical skills
