Part-time Senior Litigation Paralegal - Hybrid Duties: Assisting with case assessment and evaluation. Maintaining the calendar. Analyzing records and interviewing case witnesses. Supervising discovery responses. Supervising filings. Handling settlement process. Assisting with litigation strategy. Preparing for trial. Qualifications: College Degree is a plus. Paralegal Certificate or equivalent on-the-job experience as a Litigation Assistant. Should have 5-7 years of litigation experience in California. Hands-on experience with civil litigation discovery and trial preparation. Experience evaluating and assessing cases; whether from insurance defense or other litigation perspectives working knowledge of Calif Code of Civil Procedure (CCP), Calif. Rules of Court (CRC), as well as local court rules, and procedures for Northern California counties. Federal knowledge is a plus. Detailed knowledge of MS Office (including Word, Excel and Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat. Case management software experience. Legal calendaring experience (Deadlines.com). Experience with timekeeping. Familiarity with basic legal software such as LexisNexis and e-filing portals. Excellent English language skills (both written and verbal).
