Retirement plan Paid time off Associate Attorney at an Estate Planning Law Firm An Estate Planning Law Firm is looking for an experienced Associate Attorney to join their team. This position will require the successful candidate to handle the firm s matters for post-death affairs and estate planning, manage the firm s probate and trust administration matters, conduct initial consultations with clients, review documents with clients, and collaborate with financial advisors and CPAs on client matters. **Job Duties and Skills Needed:** * Handle the firm's matters for post-death affairs and estate planning matters * Manage the firm's probate and trust administration matters * Guardianship and Conservatorship (uncontested) matters * Conduct initial consultations with clients and maintain ongoing client support for as long as the matter is open * Great verbal and written communication skills with the ability to make a warm first impression with clients * Review documents with clients and promptly follow up with their questions * Work internally with senior attorneys and paralegals * Collaborate with financial advisors and CPAs on client matters and financial and tax issues related to cases * Complete work independently but collaborate with the team on a daily basis * Ensure proper accountings and final distributions are promptly made **Experience and Qualifications:** * 2+ years of experience in estate planning and post-death affairs * Licensed to practice law in Michigan * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Exceptional attention to detail * Empathetic and compassionate * Enjoys working independently as well as collaborating with a team **Pay and Benefits:** * Salary: $50,000 - $90,000 / Yearly * Benefits: Long term disability, health insurance, life insurance, IRA with employer match, planned PTO, plus sick time, community engagement opportunities, positive work/life balance. is an estate planning law firm with offices in West Michigan and Central Florida, specializing in estate planning, probate, and trust settlement.
