Collections Attorney The candidate will compile, analyze, prepare, and file complaints, motions, briefs, pretrial memorandums, and other legal filings on behalf of clients. Maintain and update active case files in the firm's database for client reporting requirements. Perform legal and operational research as part of case prep and suit filing. Interact with clients as directed to gather appropriate support documentation. Responsibility for case file management of assigned accounts, including research, document production, accuracy reviews, and cost tracking. Collaborate with operational and IT staff on enhancements to database management with a goal to increase legal production capabilities and efficiency. Listen to and communicate with team members both verbally and in written form to understand team goals, then help execute on the plan to realize those goals. The candidate should have a J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school. Should be admitted to practice law in MA or awaiting results of Bar Exam (RI, CT, NH and/or VT bar admissions a plus). Should have Litigation experience. Must be detail-oriented, possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, be able to work efficiently with minimal supervision, and most importantly bring a can-do attitude to the office each day. Debt collection experience is preferred.
