Litigation Management Paralegal The candidate will perform specialized legal secretarial, clerical, and administrative tasks under the general supervision of an attorney. Work directly under an experienced attorney, with direct client contact. Assist, draft, and review legal documents such as motions, complaints, and other litigation-related documents in strict confidence. Assist in managing a high-volume docket. Maintain a high volume of client files from start to finish. Meticulously organize and maintain all case files and documentation in a paper or electronic filing system. Assist with trial preparation and maintain calendars. Communicate with clients, witnesses, lawyers, administrative staff, and other contacts. Proactively monitor case workflow and client file status reports and related deadlines. Compile and file documents electronically and/or in-person. Create and/or maintain records, spreadsheets, and files. Responsible for managing all day-to-day legal casework. Coordinate all correspondence and logistics necessary. Complete administrative duties. Any other duties assigned. The candidate should preferably have an Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies and/or a high school or equivalent degree with 5+ years of paralegal experience in litigation; Personal injury - plaintiff's side experience; experience using Public Access to Court Electronic Records (PACER); to be Bilingual. Must have the ability to file electronically; ability to be exceptionally organized and detail-oriented; efficient time manage tasks to meet various deadlines; the desire to learn and develop personally and professionally; plan, organize, and carry out multiple, related activities; ability to use technology effectively to improve processes and work product; excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills; ability to take direction and work independently. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
