Criminal Defense Associate Attorney The candidate will helping arrestees navigate the criminal justice system. Must be able to treat clients with empathy and compassion, especially when they are stressed and scared. Must be a competent criminal litigator with experience in criminal defense. Must be able to manage their own caseload with little hands-on input from the law firm owner. Should have excellent working knowledge of Florida criminal statutes, case law, and procedure, excellent verbal and written communication skills and courtroom prowess, strong aptitude in analyzing cases, developing case theories, and strategies, and evaluating the best resolution for the client and his or her future. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, email, and basic computer skills. Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience of 3 years (Required). The Florida Bar (Required).
