Litigation Paralegal The candidate should be experienced in civil litigation in state and federal court with an emphasis in personal injury litigation in state court. Will work alongside a team of experienced attorneys. Must be able to effectively communicate with our spanish-speaking clients. Manage a number of Personal Injury claims/suits provided by the Firm. Work directly with clients of assigned cases throughout the pre-litigation & litigation process. Work directly with paralegals and supervising partners. Evaluate & help potential new clients with intakes or assistance as needed. Draft legal pleadings, correspondence, and discovery. Assist with cases going to trial when necessary. Should have 2-3 years of successful employment as a paralegal in a law firm. Must be knowledgeable in litigation laws including the California Code of Civil Procedure, California Civil Code, California Evidence Code, California Rules of Court, and Local Rules of Southern California Courts. Must have an intimate understanding of Personal Injury cases. Must have a clear understanding of how to navigate serious to catastrophic injury claims with large insurance carriers and other Defendants.
