Assistant Paralegal, Personal Injury The candidate will be reviewing all intake information and securing any missing elements. Gathering information such as medical treatment records and expenses, PIP logs, EOB statements, doctors records, collateral sources and liens, and all relevant information pertaining to assigned case. Constantly gathering real-time information and communicating that information with internal team for forwarding movement of case; must have ability to understand individual case follow-up needs and key points so that attorney(s) may take appropriate steps on client(s) behalf. Being the lead person on team to investigating and outline client insurance coverage, claims status, constantly working directly with insurance adjusters so that status updates include all relevant real-time ongoing medical information. Must be able to understand and communicate insurance policies/declaration pages. Coordinating and scheduling regarding case related follow-up deadlines including maintaining a checklist of standard tasks/reminders within our case management software; assisting in management of treatment and provider authorizations, etc. Maintaining documentation of interviewing, communicating, negotiating, and any information what-so-ever associated with assigned cases. Personal Injury experience is a plus. TrialWorks experience is needed. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are preferred. Should be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook and firm technology programs. Must have strong English written language skills. Must be able to read and understand State and Federal court statutes, rules and procedures.
