Personal Injury Associate Attorney The candidate will be responsible for organizing and overseeing the progression of all litigated cases in the firm while working in conjunction with the partner, an associate, and trial counsel. Will work within the various aspects of litigation, including propounding and responding to discovery. Duties will also include attending trials, depositions, and other court appearances, preparing pleadings, setting up motions, and helping to draft, type, format and proof-read legal documents and correspondence, including meet and confer letters. Responsible for preparation of documents for filing, including verification of signatures, proof of service, mailing etc. Write mediation briefs, trial briefs, and MSC briefs from scratch. The candidate must have 3+ years of personal injury law and courtroom experience, be licensed to practice law in the state of California, own transportation, and be willing to do some light travel throughout the states to attend court hearings. Should have a thorough understanding of the processes of state and federal litigation. Must be experienced in, and knowledgeable of, e-filing, trial procedures, discovery, document production, document management, calendaring and case management. Spanish speaker is preferred. Experience with Needles case management program is desired.
