Legal Assistant/Paralegal/Bookkeeper The candidate will be responsible for administrative duties such as making copies, answering and directing phone calls, and greeting clients. Coordinate appointments, including all correspondence and logistics necessary to accommodate attorney's court appearances. Draft Motions, Orders, briefs, and letters. Organize and manage documents and other exhibits for discovery and use at trial. Scheduling and managing meditations. Hold client communication, documents such as medical records, tax forms, reports of psychological evaluations, drug tests, and other materials in strict confidence. Handle routine correspondence with counsel, court and clients. Accounts payable and accounts receivable and client itemized billing in Excel and with QuickBooks. Implement and improve upon administrative processes for more efficient workflow. Electronic filing with the Courts in Odyssey and PeachCourt. Research and writing. The candidate should have at least 5 years in an administrative position or equivalent educational background. Proficient in Microsoft Office and knowledge of Windows 10 operating system. Experience with QuickBooks preferred. Experience in Domestic Relations and Family Law litigation preferred. Knowledge of the basic rules of civil procedure and the operation of the courts in multiple Judicial circuits. Must be able to multi-task and have emotional intelligence. Must have good communication skills and patience in high conflict situations. Must be able to handle constructive criticism in a fast paced family law office. Must be willing to learn.
